“The primary goal of SIRIM is to promote and upgrade the skills of local resources with the use of leading-edge tools,” said Mohd Shazali, vice president, Advanced Manufacturing Technology at the National CAD/CAM Centre, SIRIM. think3 and CAD-IT are donating copies of think3’s newly announced thinkdesign 3-D mechanical design software and thinkfast 3-D learning software to the learning centre and will immediately begin providing training and support to personnel at the National CAD/CAM Centre, SIRIM. It is also a cornerstone of think3 and CAD-IT’s strategy for successful entry into the Malaysian market with think3’s new brand of powerful, affordable 3-D mechanical design software. The new centre is a key element of SIRIM’s national charter to promote the use of software in design in Malaysia by providing a central location for mechanical design students and professionals to learn and use 3-D design skills.
